WELCOME TO THE SeaWolves Mens Cancer Pack

As advocates for men’s cancer we look to be voices to increase funding for men’s cancer, for cancer treatment options and care facilities.

CORE VALUES

When faced with cancer, women tend to ‘reach out; and men tend to ‘check out’. We're here to be a resource for men so they don't have to be alone.

The Sea Wolves Mens Cancer Pack is dedicated to supporting and advocating for men impacted by cancer on Vancouver Island and throughout BC.

We look to connect with men, help them avoid isolation and provide support during their cancer journeys.

We are a Not For Profit organization and funds raised go to cancer patients with no administrative fees.

Having the courage to accept help, and knowing we are smarter and stronger as a pack than we are as lone wolves.

ALL funding received is directed back into the community with no administration costs.

Don and Greg are also available for speaking engagements on Vancouver Island.

The SeaWolves Pack Founders

Long before Sea Wolves became a thriving community of support, two men saw a need — and took action. It was founded by Don Helgeson and Greg Brown, ordinary guys who walked through the fire themselves and refused to let other men go through it alone.

United by their own cancer journeys and a shared belief that “men with cancer helping men with cancer” is more than a motto, it’s a mission, Don and Greg set out to build something different. Something human. Something real.

They started with simple Tuesday-morning coffee meetups in Nanaimo. From there the group grew — expanding across Vancouver Island with weekly gatherings, peer support, chemo-care backpacks, advocacy efforts and hope for hundreds of men.

Today, their vision lives on through every backpack handed out, every conversation around a coffee table, every man reminded that “You are not alone. You are part of the pack.”
